Arrest/Internment History

March 1945 – Arrested and held under house arrest at the home of Guljelm Luka, Shkoder.

June 1945 – Deported with family members to the labor camp in Berat.

Spring 1947 – Sent to work in the fields at Kucove.

June 1947 – Sent Shjaku for hard labor building the road Durres-Tirane.

October 1947 – Sent to the farm in Valijas to work on the canal.

1948 – Returned to the labor camp in Berat.

1949 – Transferred to the concentration camp in Tepelene.

1949 – One week after his arrival they sent him to work in Elbasan, building the road to Korce. He escaped along with 8 friends and safely reached Jugoslavia.

1956 – Arrived in Italy and joined his father and older brother Ndue.

1969 – Emigrate to New York.

18 May, 2018 – Died peacefully at home.
