Alessandra Gjomarkaj

Alessandra was born in Rome, Italy. She is the third daughter of Kapidan Ndue Gjon Marku.

She completed her formal education in Italy and New York City. Alessandra is a world traveler and has enjoyed a strong career in the Travel Management field. 

Alessandra’s love of Albania stems from her first visit to Shkoder in 1994, with her father Ndue. It was Ndue’s return to Albania after a 50 year absence, a very emotional time for him and she was here to accompany him and enjoy the reunion with his brother Dede, sisters Bardha and Marta, nephew Gjon and nieces Kristina and Celestina.

Since then Alessandra has come to Albania numerous times, and is a strong supporter of the family’s fight against property restitution. She currently resides in New York City.
