Four years in work camps and concentration camps and forty two years in forced exile.

Arrest/Internment History

November 1944 – Takes refuge with the family of Ndok Gjeloshi in Shkodra.

March 1945 – Arrested and held under house arrest at the home of Guljelm Luka, Shkoder.

July 1945 – Deported with family members and interned in Berat.

February 1947 – sent to Kuçovë  for hard labor.

June 1947 – Sent Shjaku for hard labor.

October 1947 – Sent to the farm in Valijas to work on the canal.

April 1949 – Returned to the labor camp in Berat.

May 1949 – Transferred to the concentration camp in Tepelene.

May 1949 – Three week after his arrival they sent him to work in Elbasan, building the road to Korçe . He escaped along with 9 friends and safely reached Jugoslavia.

November 1956 – Arrived in Italy and joined his father and older brother Ndue.

1969 – He and his family emigrate to New York.

June 1993 – Returns briefly to Albania.

15 May, 2018 – Died peacefully at home in New York City.
