The Merchant Saint of Loreto: Venerable Sister Maria Rosa Agostini Her Life and Death
Maria Rosa Agostini, born in Loreto on May 3, 1722, and died there on March 16, 1768, was a Dominican Tertiary considered for sainthood. She lived with her family, who ran a shop near the Apostolic Palace. Her beatification process was validated by Pope Pius VI on April 16, 1791. Canon A. Monachesi chronicled her life in the Annals of the Holy House (1931–1935). This book, drawn from those annals, honors Maria Rosa, aiming to renew devotion to her faith.

Maria Rosa Agostini, nata a Loreto il 3 maggio 1722 e morta il 16 marzo 1768, era una terziaria domenicana considerata santa. Visse nella sua famiglia, che gestiva una rivendita di oggetti sacri di fronte al Palazzo Apostolico. Il processo di beatificazione fu riconosciuto valido da Pio VI il 16 aprile 1791. La sua vita è narrata dal canonico A. Monachesi negli «Annali della S. Casa» (1931-1935). Questo libro, tratto dai compendi della rivista, commemora Maria Rosa, con l’intento di ravvivarne memoria e devozione.
